Share your ideas at the 18th IRF World Road Meeting

The IRF Young Professionals is a platform for the next generation of leaders and specialists in the road and mobility sector and provides a space to propose initiatives, share ideas and engage with the overall activities of the International Road Federation (IRF Geneva). IRF-YP gathers proactive graduate students enrolled in a Master or Ph.D. programme as well as young professionals – under the age of 35 – working in the sector.

Within this framework, the YP Programme will be hosting three sessions (IRF YP Labs) …. during the next IRF World Meeting – to give space and voice to young professionals under the age of 35. If you are looking for an opportunity to share your ideas and present your work to an international audience, this is your opportunity!

Send us an abstract(400 words max) by 15 September 2017 on one or more of the themes listed below:

Theme 1:  Mobility in a Big Data Era
Theme 2:  Mobility and Liveable Cities
Theme 3:  Road Safety: Realising Vision Zero

We will select the best 6 Abstracts and invite the authors to submit a full article of (2’200 words max) and present it at the IRF World Meeting. We will give an award to the best article.

Criteria for participation:
  • Under the age of 35
  • graduate student enrolled in a Master or Ph.D. programme
  • or Young Professional working in the sector
Criteria for Abstract submission:
  • 400 words max
  • Indicate the Theme (1, 2, 3 as listed above)
  • Title of your Article
  • Your Full name, age and date of birth
  • Affiliation (student in X University, young professional working for X entity)
  • Country of residence
  • Full contact details (postal address, e-mail and phone)

We will only consider submissions fulfilling all the criteria listed.

  • Submission of abstracts: 15 September 2017
  • Selection of Abstracts: 22 September 2017
  • Submission of full article: 6 October 2017
